Kormax is a specialist supplier of metal casting and engineering materials with 75 years of foundry experience. Known for their technical precision and reliability, they service manufacturers across construction, infrastructure, defence and transport - primarily across Australia, New Zealand and more recently the US.

Kormax partnered with Rocket to accelerate growth in the US market, improve brand visibility and increase marketing qualified leads (MQLs) from Search in the local and international market.

Challenge

Kormax was expanding into a new, highly competitive market. After solid performance in Australia and New Zealand, they were ready to make a serious push into the US - a market where brand awareness for low, competitors were well-established and search volumes for their services were high but expensive.

Their internal team had strong foundations in Google Ads, but needed a more hands-on partner to:

  • Bridge the SEO gap between ANZ and the US
  • Connect performance data to the impact on the sales pipeline

Rocket launched a collaborative SEO and Paid Search strategy, deeply integrated with Kormax’s sales data and internal expertise.

1. US-centric Paid Search overhaul

We restructured campaigns by region and product category, with a clear focus on the US market. Budget was prioritised for top-performing keywords that were proven to lead to conversions into sales, not just leads. Our team made bid adjustments in real-time based on MQL and SQL conversion data.

2. Content-driven SEO for visibility

We launched tailored content targeting high-intent keywords in the US, supported by technical SEO, internal linking and structured metadata. Once content went live, visibility jumped immediately, especially for newly targeted service pages.

3. Conversion-focused reporting

By linking HubSpot MQL and SQL data into our campaign review cycles, we continuously refined based on quality, not just volume. We also worked closely with the Kormax sales team to understand drop-off points and iterate campaigns accordingly.

4. Collaborative, always-on support

Rocket held regular strategy sessions, shared performance insights frequently and collaboratively directed the digital Search strategy with Kormax.
